FEAST of ST. MALACHY

This weekend we celebrate the feast of our patron, St. Malachy, eleventh century bishop of Armagh. St. Malachy lived in troubled times & brought reconciliation & peace. In these troubled times, let us pray & work for peace.

WHY DO YOU PRAY?

All are invited to discuss "Why Do You Pray?" (the article recently attached to the bulletin) next Saturday, Nov. 10 from 2:30-4 PM or Sunday, Nov. 11, from 7-8:30 PM in the hall. Copies of the article are at the church doors.

GOD BLESS God's blessing on Nicholas Richard Norenberg, son of Matthew and Christine Zawadzki, who was baptized last week! May he continue to grow in wisdom, grace and age.

WENDELIN BOUTIQUE

This Sunday, November 4, is St. Wendelin's Annual Christmas Boutique from 10 AM - 4 PM featuring handmade crafts, pastries, candy, and wonderful food. Refreshments, children's corner, raffle.

UCS SPORT BENEFIT

Urban Community School Boosters Club third annual A Night at the Races, to benefit the UCS Sports Program is next Saturday, Nov. 10 at 7:00 PM at St. Wendelin Hall. Admission is $5, call (216) 861-4706.

HUNGER BENEFIT

St Patrick (Bridge) annual Thanksgiving Dinner Fundraiser for the St. Vincent de Paul Society’s outreach to those in need is next Sunday, November 11, from 12:00-3 PM, Donation: $8; Boutique at the Dinner; raffle drawing.

"READING BUDDIES"

Volunteers are needed to help children improve their reading skills through the Reading Buddy Program at St. Malachi Center. Training session on Tuesday, November 20 at 6 PM. If you can help, call Kim 216-771-3036.

SUPPORT WELCOME

A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Doughnuts, sandwiches, and coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays at the Backdoor (216-861-5343).

WANTED: HELP FOR MART Malachi Mart supports the ministry of St. Malachi Center. The Mart is always looking for volunteers,  to assist in every way.
