PANCAKE BREAKFAST FOR YOUTH The High School Christian Formation Group is having a pancake breakfast this Sunday from 10:30 AM-1 PM  in the hall. They are asking a free-will offering to support their trip to the National Catholic Youth Conference  in Indianapolis. Come, enjoy a delicious breakfast and support our teens!
RCIA JOURNEY OF FAITH The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a journey of faith for all seeking to explore the Catholic faith.  The first meeting is this Monday, Sept. 10 at 7 PM in the rectory at St. Patrick (Bridge). CELEBRATE
SERVICE

Th is Tuesday, September 11, at 7PM, there will be a "Celebration of Service" in church followed by an ice cream  social for all who serve at St. Malachi: readers, Eucharistic Ministers, cantors, servers, ushers, Backdoor Ministry, Monday Night Meal, office helpers, Friendly Visitors, etc. For information, call the office (216) 861-5343.

NEW & FUN COMMITTEE A Parish Hospitality Committee is now being formed. If you are interested in joining this food-oriented and fun group, call Hennie McGowan 216-521-9109 or Terry Jungquist 440-835-2152. Any level of assistance welcome!

PRAYER GROUP

The contemplative prayer group is forming. It begins this Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 7 PM at St. Patrick (Bridge) rectory and will meet alternate Wednesdays. For information, call Mary Jane Treichel at (216) 861-5343.

CHURCH ENVELOPES St. Malachi Parish collection envelopes are available at the doors of the Church. They begin Oct. 7. Please note:  the Community of St. Malachi does NOT use envelopes. Please include name & address as you begin using them!
YOUTH GROUP THANKS Our High School group offers thanks for the parish support given for the National Catholic Youth Conference. At the August meeting, Parish Council voted a $3,200 grant. At the picnic, people contributed $974 in the raffle for Indians' tickets (won by Margaret Armstead — Congratulations!) Many, many thanks for your support!
EUCHARIST MINISTERS Parishioners who are interested in becoming Eucharistic Ministers are asked to contact Fr. Tony (216-861-5343)  by October 1. Requirements: at least 18 years old, Confirmed, Catholic in good standing. Training in October.

CHARITY OF THE MONTH Thank you for your August donations of school supplies for our neighborhood children. The joint Social Action  Commission "charity of the month" appeal for September is the shower program at St. Malachi Center. Needed are spray-On deodorants, disposable razors, toothbrushes and toothpaste. A donation box is in the front of church.
HELP MUCH NEEDED!  We have a great need for volunteers at our Backdoor Ministry to help during the week! The Backdoor serves from  8:30 AM to 3 PM; there are two shifts: 8:15 AM to Noon; and Noon-3: 15 PM. Call Sr. Francis (216-861-5343).

REVERSE RAFFLE Tickets for our annual reverse raffle on Friday, September 28, at Brennan's Party Center are available at the back of church or rectory. An $85 ticket includes a buffet dinner for two and a chance on the main $3,000 raffle.

URBAN SCHOOL BENEFIT

Urban Community School's annual benefit, "Seasons of change" is this coming Saturday, September 15, from 6 to 11 PM at the Nautica Special Events Pavilion. Tickets are $100. Tickets are still available. For information call the Urban Community School Office (216) 771-8014.

Malachi Mart hours are: Wednesday - Saturday, 10 AM - 5 PM; Sunday 10 AM - 1:30 PM.

WANTED: HELP FOR MART Malachi Mart supports the ministry of St. Malachi Center. The Mart is always looking for volunteers,  to assist in every way. 
The Mart is open from 10 AM to 5 PM, Wednesday through Saturday, Sundays from 10 AM to 1:30 PM.  For more information, call Bonnie or Jacqui at (216) 621-1988.
