MALACHI CENTER GOLF OUTING

The 9th Annual St. Malachi Center Invitational Golf Outing is July 29 at Bob O'Link Golf Course, Avon beginning at 9 AM; the 9-hole tournament begins at 11:30 AM. Fees: $80 per golfer for 18 holes, $45 for 9 holes (includes a cart, lunch & steak dinner). For non-golfers, dinner is available for $25. Bring a foursome! MISSION
APPEAL

Next weekend is the annual Mission appeal. We welcome Fr. Francisco Correa, Vicariate of the San Vicente Consolata Missionaries of Puerto Leguizamo, Colombia, who will share the needs of the Church in that area and information about the people they serve. There will be a second collection at all Masses.

BOOK SALE

Next weekend, The Holy Longing - A Search for Christian Spirituality by Ronald Rolheiser will be available for purchase for $17.80 after all the Masses; it will also be sold August 4-5. CHARITY OF
THE MONTH

The Social Action Commission has begun a "charity of the month" appeal to support the St. Malachi Ministries.  For July, we ask for socks & T-shirts for the Backdoor Ministry. Items can be left in the box in the back of church.

St MALACHI PICNIC

All are invited to come to the "All St. Malachi" picnic on Sunday, August 26, at Lakewood Park (Women’s Pavilion) from Noon until 6 PM.

BLOSSOM CONCERT

St. Malachi Rejoice and Renew is sponsoring an evening at Blossom Music Center with the Cleveland Orchestra on Saturday, August 18. The cost is $21and limited bus space is available. Call Rosemary Gray, 216-521-0191.

CSM BENEFIT AT USS COD

The Community of St. Malachi invites all to attend the second annual benefit picnic at the submarine USS Cod, for the Community’s Personal Needs fund, E. 9th St. pier, Saturday, August 4, 6 PM. $20 ticket includes music, dancing, food and tour of the Cod! A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Doughnuts, sandwiches, and coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are welcome (216-861-5343).

FAITH & SHARING RETREAT

The Faith and Sharing Retreat is Aug. 15-19 at St. Joseph Christian Life Center. Based on the spirituality of Jean Vanier, it is a shared journey of faith, prayer & celebration for all people. Young adults are especially welcome.
Fr. Al Krupp is the retreat presenter. Cost: $185 by Aug. 1; $195 thereafter.

S.M.A.R.T. PICNICS St. Malachi Adults Raising Toddlers (S.M.A.R.T.) will meet July 27 and August 10 on the far side of the Kiwanis Pavilion at Lakewood Park for a picnic supper, playground fun and a family movie at sundown. Bring your own meat to grill, drinks, picnic supplies, and a dish to share. This week’s movie will be Willie Wonka.

LOVING PARENTS NEEDED

Bishop Anthony Pilla and Children and Family Services are asking your help in finding adoptive parents for over 2,000 children in Cuyahoga County. WANTED: HELP FOR MART Malachi Mart supports the ministry of St. Malachi Center. The Mart is always looking for volunteers,  to assist in every way.
