St. Malachi bids farewell to "our" three seminarians from Slovakia, Martin Skladaný, John Štefancia and Peter Šoltis who leave Cleveland this weekend. They will be in New York for a month then home to Slovakia. God bless!

HI-RISE MINISTRY

One or two Eucharistic Ministers are needed to bring Communion to 10 people at Riverview Hi-Rise (W. 25th near Lorain) every fourth Sunday of the month. For details, call Sr. Francis at (216) 861-5343.

GOLF OUTING

The 9th Annual St. Malachi Center Invitational Golf Outing is July 29 at Bob O'Link Golf Course, Avon beginning at 9 AM; the 9-hole tournament begins at 11:30 AM. Fees: $80 per golfer for 18 holes, $45 for 9 holes (includes a cart, lunch & steak dinner). For non-golfers, dinner is available for $25. Bring a foursome! FAITH & SHARING RETREAT

There is a Faith and Sharing Retreat August 15-19 at St. Joseph Christian Life Center. The retreat is based on the vision & spirituality of Jean Vanier & is a shared journey of faith, prayer & celebration for all people, "rich or poor, weak or strong, big or small." Young adults are especially welcome. Fr. Al Krup will be the retreat presenter. Cost: $185 by Aug. 1; $195 after. Call Fr. Jim O'Donnell (566-0531).

"BOOKIES" 
INVITATION

One church, one book. The St. Malachi "Bookies" book club is inviting everyone in the Community & Parish to read the same book and, through small group discussions to be held this Fall, enjoy a collective literary & spiritual growth experience. The book is The Holy Longing - A Search for Christian Spirituality by Ronald Rolheiser.  It will be sold during coffee hours the end of July. The Urban Community School Girl’s Program will have their Annual Car Wash & Bake Sale on Thursday, June 28 and Tuesday, July 3, from 1 - 2:30 PM. Please support their efforts to help fund this summer experience.
BACK DOOR CLOTHING NEEDS New or gently-used men's socks (any color) arc needed for the Backdoor Ministry. Men's jeans & khakis, Large & X-Large sweatshirts & t-shirts are also needed. Most of our clothing requests are from men; we have very little requests for women's clothing. Thank you for your care and continued support!
