PENTECOST

We celebrate Pentecost, the birthday of the Church and the outpouring of the Spirit. Especially in this Millennium, we pray that the Holy Spirit bless us abundantly and renew the face of the earth!

BISHOPS GRIES AND AMOS TO BE ORDAINED

Let us pray for Bishops-Elect Roger Gries & Martin Amos, who will be ordained Bishop this Thursday at the Cathedral. All arc invited to a public reception at 6:30 PM at the Center for Pastoral Leadership (Seminary), 28700 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. As Auxiliary Bishop, Bishop Gries will serve the Cleveland area & Bishop Amos in the Akron area. Let us keep them & their ministry in our prayers.

FR. ED SMITH

Next Sunday, St. Malachi welcomes newly-ordained Fr. Ed Smith who will return for the 9:30 AM Mass.
He is assigned to St. Jude Parish in Elyria. Let us keep him and his ministry in our prayers.

ECUMENICAL COVENANT SIGNING

This Sunday, Bishop Anthony Pilla will join Bishop J. Clark Grew 11 of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio and Bishop Marcus Miller of the Northeast Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America to sign & establish a Covenant between the three churches. All are invited to attend the ceremony and service at 4:30 PM at St. Richard Church, 26855 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted.

ST.  MALACHI  CENTER RAFFLE RESULTS

Congratulations to the St. Malachi Center Raffle winners: $10,000: St. Malachi Center (ticket donated to the Center); $2,000: Mike French & Halle De Long; $500: Charlene McElwee ; Quilt: Delia Lowry. Eucharistic Holy Hour for peace at 11:00 AM; Mass at Noon.

Coffee Hour after 9:30 Mass in the Hall
SUPPORT WELCOME A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Doughnuts, coffee, and sandwiches are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are welcome (216-861-5343).
BACK DOOR CLOTHING NEEDS New or gently-used mens' socks (any color) are needed for the Backdoor Ministry. Men ~ jeans & khakis, Large& X-Large sweatshirts & t-shirts are also needed. Most of our clothing requests are from men; we have very little request for women k clothing. Thank you for your care & continued support!
50TH WED ANNIV MASS  Couples who are celebrating 50 yrs. of marriage this year are invited to participate in a 50th Anniversary Mass at St. John Cathedral, July 29, 2 PM, Bp. Pilla officiating.
