FOOD FOR THE POOR This weekend St. Malachi welcomes Fr. Lou Papes, who will speak on his ministry, Food for the Poor in the Caribbean and Latin America, this weekend during all Masses.
RAFFLE & BREAKFAST St. Malachi Center invites everyone to breakfast on Monday, Memorial Day, after the 9:00 AM Mass. The raffle drawing will take place during this time. Please come and enjoy a fine breakfast and friendly socializing.
HONOR VETERANS  This weekend, Catholic War Veterans, St. Benedict's Post 381, will sell poppies, the symbol traditionally used to commemorate deceased veterans, at the Church doors after each Mass today.
CATHOLIC SENIORS DAY The 20th Annual Catholic Senior Celebration is this Wednesday, May 30 at St. Therese Church, 5276 East l05th Street, Garfield Heights. Music begins at 1:45 PM, Mass with Bishop. Pilla at 2 PM, followed by refreshments.
PARISH COUNCIL Parish Council has openings for At-Large Members. The term is two years; meetings are the first Wednesdays of even-numbered months. Call Council President, Tom Kastelic at (216) 586-7307 (work) or (216) 268-4742
50TH WED ANNIV MASS  Couples who are celebrating 50 yrs. of marriage this year are invited to participate in a 50th Anniversary Mass at St. John Cathedral, July 29, 2 PM, Bp. Pilla officiating. Reservation deadline is June 8. Call (216) 861-5343.
CATHOLIC CHARITIES  The Catholic Charities parish appeal continues. Catholic Charities serves 600,000 people in Northeast Ohio. Your support is needed! Donation/pledge envelopes can be returned in the collection baskets or to the Rectory.

1. Sunday: Backdoor Ministry Brunch, 8:30-10 AM in the Hall
Coffee Hour after 9:30 Mass in the Hall
Angle Drawing after 12:30 Mass; proceeds for building maintenance. Tickets available in vestibule
Malachi Mart closed in celebration of Memorial Day 2. Monday: MEMORIAL DAY, Mass at 9 AM
Meal for the poor, 6:00 PM in the parish hall.
3. Tuesday: Parish Finance meeting, 5:30 in the rectory
4. Wednesday: Quiet prayer before the Eucharist, 5:30-6:30 PM in church, all welcome
5. Thursday: Eucharistic Holy Hour for peace at 11:00 AM; Mass at Noon.
6. Saturday: Children's Choir rehearsal, 2 PM in the church, all children 7+ welcome
7. Sunday: Coffee Hour after 9:30 Mass in the Hall

SUPPORT WELCOME A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Coffee, sandwiches and doughnuts are served daily at the rectory. 
Volunteers are welcome (216-861-5343).
BACK DOOR CLOTHING NEEDS New or gently-used men's socks (any color) are needed for the Backdoor Ministry. Men's jeans & khakis, Large & X-Large sweatshirts & t-shirts are also needed. Please note that most of our clothing requests are from men; we have very little request for women's clothing. Thank you for your care and continued support of this ministry.

WANTED: HELP FOR MART Malachi Mart supports the ministry of St. Malachi Center. The Mart is always looking for volunteers,  to assist in every way.
