As our country celebrates Mothers' Day this Sunday, let us pray for our Mothers, living & deceased, Godmothers, Grandmothers, Foster Mothers, Stepmothers! May God's blessing be upon them!
CATE- CHETICAL SERVICES This weekend is the collection for Catechetical Services. The Office of Catechetical Services includes the Newman Campus Ministry Office and Religious Education Office. Its mission is to support life-long faith development, both for our children and our college/university students. There will be a second collection at all Masses.
St MALACHI CENTER RAFFLE  St. Malachi Center's annual benefit raffle supports Center programs & activities. The drawing is May 28, Memorial Day. Main prize is $10,000; tickets are $20. Ticket sellers are needed. To sell tickets, call Mary Ellen Grealis (440) 235-6528 or Pat Donnelly (216) 521-6890. Tickets are available at church or rectory.
PARISH COUNCIL OPENINGS There are several openings for At-Large Members of Parish Council. Members serve two year terms; meetings are six times a year, on the first Wednesdays of even-numbered months. APPEAL
The parish appeal phase of the Catholic Charities campaign begins this weekend. Catholic Charities provides health and human services to 600,000 people in Northeast Ohio. Your support is needed! If you have not yet contributed, donation/pledge envelopes can be returned in the collection baskets or to the Rectory.

Archbishop Timothy Broglio, a native Clevelander, was recently appointed Papal Ambassador to the Dominican Republic. He will celebrate Mass for the children of Urban Community School on Monday at St. Malachi. All are invited to join him for Mass at St. John Cathedral on Tuesday, May 15 at 7 PM.
LAITY SURVEY The National Conference of Catholic Bishops is conducting a national survey about the role of laity in the world. You are invited to participate via internet at www.laysurvey.org from now through May 13.

SUPPORT WELCOME

A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Coffee, sandwiches and doughnuts are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. (216-861-5343).

BACK DOOR NEEDS

New or gently-used men’s socks (any color) are needed for the Backdoor Ministry. Men’s jeans & khakis, Large & X-Large sweatshirts & t-shirts are also needed. Please note that most of our clothing requests are from men; we have very little request for women’s clothing. Thank you for your care and continued support of this ministry.

WANTED: HELP FOR MART Malachi Mart supports the ministry of St. Malachi Center. The Mart is always looking for volunteers,  to assist in every way.
