SIDE CHURCHES JUBILEE |
This Sunday, October 8, all are invited to an open house of the Catholic Churches &
institutions of the Near West Side as part of our Central West District Jubilee 2000 celebration. St. Malachi Church
& Center, Malachi Mart, Urban Community School, St. Patrick, St.
Emeric, St. Wendelin, St. Ignatius
High School Chapel, Providence House & the West Side Catholic Center will all be open from 2-5 PM. |

BLANKET SUNDAY |
This weekend is "Blanket Sunday" for collecting new or like-new blankets, sheets, towels, & linens for those we serve. Envelopes for cash donations are available at the doors of the church. |

Malachi Looks to the Future.. Rejoice & Renew 'Appreciative
Inquiry" town hall meeting is this Saturday,
October 14 from 9-11:30 AM in the hall. We want to hear your story
& dreams for St. Malachi! The Parish and Community are jointly looking
to how we can strengthen our ministries and build on what makes St.
Malachi special. Please save this date and plan to attend! |

ANOINTING OF SICK |
St. Malachi will celebrate the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick Oct. 14-15 at all weekend Masses. This celebrates the consolation, healing & strength of Christ for all who are ill, elderly, or infirm. |

CHILDRENS' CHOIR |
St. Malachi Childrens' Choir has its first rehearsal on Saturday, October 21 at 2 PM in church for all children, 8+. The choir will sing at one liturgy each month. Come, make a joyful noise to the Lord! |

FUNERAL WORKSHOP |
St. Malachi is sponsoring a workshop on funeral planning: wake, funeral Mass & burial on Thursday, October 24 at 7 PM, repeated Saturday, November 4 at Noon in the hail. All welcome. |

MINISTERS
NEEDED |
We know of 10 Catholics who live at the Riverview high rise, who cannot attend Mass
regularly & have requested Communion on Sundays. We need Eucharistic ministers willing to commit to one Sunday a

Mart supports the ministry of St. Malachi Center. The Mart
is always looking for volunteers, to assist in every way. The Mart
