This Sunday St. Malachi welcomes Bishop Anthony Pilla who is celebrating the 11:00 Liturgy in honor of the 25th Anniversary of the Community of St. Malachi. Brunch follows in the hall. |

RESPECT
LIFE |
October 1 is a "Jubilee Day for Life." As Catholics, we promote "the Gospel of Life" in the face of a "culture of death" reflected by crime, violence, capital punishment, abortion, euthanasia, substance abuse |
| REVERSE RAFFLE |
Our annual reverse raffle is this Friday, Oct. 6, at Casa DiBorrally. Tickets are available at the back of church or rectory. An $85 ticket includes a surf & turf dinner for 2 & chance on the main $3,000 raffle. |
| CENTERING PRAYER |
All are invited to an introduction and presentation on contemplative & centering prayer by Mary Jane Treichel on Wednesday, October 11 at 7 PM in church. For information, call (216) 861-5343 |
| SAMARITAN
MINISTRY |
St. Malachi's Samaritan Ministry begins this Friday, 1-4:30 PM, at St. Malachi Center. This program on alcohol & drug addiction will help persons & families affected by addiction. Registration at the meeting. |
| NEAR WEST
SIDE CHURCHES JUBILEE |
On Sunday, October 8, all are invited to an open house of the Catholic Churches &
institutions of the Near West Side as part of our Central West District Jubilee 2000 celebration. St. Malachi Church & Center, Malachi Mart, Urban Community School, St. Patrick, St. Emeric, St. Wendelin, and the West
Side Catholic Center will all be open from 2-5 PM. All are invited and encouraged to attend. |

BLANKET SUNDAY |
Next weekend is "Blanket Sunday" for collecting new or like-new blankets, sheets, towels, & linens for those we serve. Envelopes for cash donations are available at the doors of the church. |

ANOINTING OF SICK |
St. Malachi will celebrate the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick Oct. 14-15 at all weekend Masses. This celebrates the consolation, healing & strength of Christ for all who are ill, elderly, or infirm. |

Malachi
Mart supports the ministry of St. Malachi Center. The Mart
is always looking for volunteers, to assist in every way. The Mart
is open from 10 AM to 5 PM, Wednesday through Saturday, Sundays from 10 AM
