CSM ANNIV LITURGY This Sunday St. Malachi welcomes Bishop Anthony Pilla who is celebrating the 11:00 Liturgy in honor of the 25th Anniversary of the Community of St. Malachi. Brunch follows in the hall.
WELCOME JOHN! We welcome John Retar, a third-year seminarian, who has been assigned to St. Malachi for his intern-  ship program. John will be with us until Easter. Welcome and God bless!
RESPECT LIFE October 1 is a "Jubilee Day for Life." As Catholics, we promote "the Gospel of Life" in the face of a "culture of death" reflected by crime, violence, capital punishment, abortion, euthanasia, substance abuse
REVERSE RAFFLE Our annual reverse raffle is this Friday, Oct. 6, at Casa DiBorrally. Tickets are available at the back of church or rectory. An $85 ticket includes a surf & turf dinner for 2 & chance on the main $3,000 raffle.
CENTERING PRAYER All are invited to an introduction and presentation on contemplative & centering prayer by Mary Jane Treichel on Wednesday, October 11 at 7 PM in church. For information, call (216) 861-5343
SAMARITAN MINISTRY St. Malachi's Samaritan Ministry begins this Friday, 1-4:30 PM, at St. Malachi Center. This program on alcohol & drug addiction will help persons & families affected by addiction. Registration at the meeting.
NEAR WEST SIDE CHURCHES JUBILEE On Sunday, October 8, all are invited to an open house of the Catholic Churches & institutions of the Near West Side as part of our Central West District Jubilee 2000 celebration. St. Malachi Church & Center, Malachi Mart, Urban Community School, St. Patrick, St. Emeric, St. Wendelin, and the West
Side Catholic Center will all be open from 2-5 PM. All are invited and encouraged to attend.
BLANKET SUNDAY Next weekend is "Blanket Sunday" for collecting new or like-new blankets, sheets, towels, & linens for those we serve. Envelopes for cash donations are available at the doors of the church.
ANOINTING OF SICK St. Malachi will celebrate the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick Oct. 14-15 at all weekend Masses. This celebrates the consolation, healing & strength of Christ for all who are ill, elderly, or infirm.

SUPPORT WELCOME A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Coffee, sandwiches and doughnuts are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are welcome (216-861-5343).

St MALACHI LOOKS TO THE FUTURE Our 3rd St. Malachi Looks to the Future.. Rejoice & Renew 'Appreciative Inquiry" town hall  meeting is Saturday, Oct. 14, 9-11:30 AM in the hall. We want to hear your story & dreams for St. Malachi! The Parish & Community are both looking at how to strengthen our ministries & build on what makes St. Malachi special. If you have not yet had an opportunity to participate, please note the date & plan to attend!

BACKDOOR NEEDS Our Backdoor Ministry continues to need men's pants, sizes 32-38, clean, gently used (no holes) men's socks (any color) and L and XL sized men's t-shirts. Thank you!
WANTED: HELP FOR MART Malachi Mart supports the ministry of St. Malachi Center. The Mart is always looking for volunteers,  to assist in every way.
