BLOOD DRIVE The Red Cross Blood Drive will be this Sunday, September 17, from 10 AM - 2 PM at St. Malachi Center.An emergency call is on for donors as there is a critical shortage of blood at this time.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION This weekend we observe Catechetical Sunday. As Christian Formation classes begin at St. Malachi, let us remember and pray for teachers and students and all involved in the ministry of religious education.
RCIA JOURNEY OF FAITH The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a journey of faith open to all who are interested in exploring the Catholic faith. RCIA sessions begin this Monday evening, September 18, 7 PM at St. Patrick rectory (Bridge Ave.). For information, call Fr. Tony or Mary Jane Treichel at (216) 861-5343.
CHURCH ENVELOPES New boxes of envelopes are available at church entrances. They begin October 1. Please assist us with record-keeping by writing your name and address on the first several envelopes you use.
REVERSE RAFFLE Tickets for our annual reverse raffle Friday, October 6, at Casa DiBorrally are available at the back of church or rectory. An $85 ticket includes a surf & turf dinner for 2 & chance on the main $3,000 raffle.
St MALACHI LOOKS TO THE FUTURE REJOICE & RENEW! Our next St. Malachi Looks to the Future.. Rejoice & Renew "Appreciative Inquiry" town hall meeting is Wednesday, September 27 from 7-9:30 PM in the hall. We want to hear your story & dreams for St. Malachi! The Parish & Community are jointly looking to how we can strengthen our ministries & build on what makes St. Malachi special. The third scheduled meeting date is Saturday, October 14, from 9-11:30 AM in the hall. Please save one of these dates & plan to attend!
CATHOLIC COMMUNI- CATIONS  Next weekend is the appeal for the Catholic Communications Campaign. The campaign's goal is to create a Catholic presence in the media. Proceeds support radio, print media and video projects such as the Sunday televised Mass. There will be a second collection at all Masses next weekend.

5. Thursday: Eucharistic Holy Hour for peace at 11:00 AM; Mass at Noon.
6. Sunday: Backdoor Ministry Brunch, 8:30-9:30 AM in the hall

SUPPORT WELCOME A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Coffee, sandwiches and doughnuts are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays 216-861-5343).
SAMARITAN MINISTRY St. Malachi's Samaritan Ministry will be held on Fridays, 1-4:30 PM, October 6, 13, 20,27 at St. Malachi Center. This 4 session workshop on alcohol & drug addiction is of special value to persons & families affected by addiction. Sessions are free. Registration at the first session. C.E.U.'s & BRCH'S available.
CENTER PROGRAMS St. Malachi Center needs volunteers for the After-School Program serving children 5-12, weekdays 3:30- 5:30 PM & the Education Project for high school students, Tues-Thurs, 5:30-6:30 PM.

MALACHI HOUSE BENEFIT   "Malachi House Roundup," 13th Annual Benefit will be held Friday, October 27, 6:30-11 PM at the St. Ignatius High School Murphy Field House & Sullivan Gym, tickets $100-200-300. Valet parking, casual attire, silent & live auction, line dancing, open bar, food. For tickets & information, call (216) 621-8831.
CELEBRATE SERVICE On Tuesday, September 19, at 7 PM, there is a "Celebration of Service" in church followed by a social for all who serve at St. Malachi: liturgical ministries (readers, Eucharistic Ministers, cantors, servers, ushers) Backdoor Ministry, office, Friendly Visitor, etc. For information, call the office (216) 861-5343.
BACKDOOR NEEDS Our Backdoor Ministry continues to need men's pants, sizes 32-38, clean, gently used (no holes) men's socks (any color) and L and XL sized men's t-shirts. Thank you!
WANTED: HELP FOR MART Malachi Mart supports the ministry of St. Malachi Center. The Mart is always looking for volunteers,  to assist in every way. The Mart is open from 10 AM to 5 PM, Wednesday through Saturday, Sundays from 10 AM to 1:30 PM. For more information, call Bonnie or Jacqui at (216) 621-1988.
