Kay noted that support groups are wonderful for grieving families and are scheduled at many Catholic cemeteries - all you have to do is call for schedule information. They also have resources to provide support in the event of an on-going illness.

St. Malachi's has available a booklet and a Personal Planning Form which can be used by someone to reflect upon and initiate discussion about their death with loved ones. You cannot always predict whether someone can handle a specific task years from now. Planning can help make a passing a little less stressful.

Kay reminded us that music selection is not just about picking your favorite songs to celebrate your preferences or your life; it is also about reflecting on the meaning of death, eternal life and faithfulness to the gospel.
