St. Malachi: the statue was preserved from the fire, it originally was
enthroned above the main altar, as it was in the original church. It was
moved to its present location during the renovation of the Sanctuary in
1976-77.
(Originally, the statue of the
Sacred Heart of Jesus, a gift of Fr. Molony, was located there. The Sacred
Heart was moved to the Baptistry area during the renovation). |

St. Patrick Shrine: was erected to honor the Irish immigrant pioneers who
established the parish. The statue, rescued from the fire, originally came
from Annunciation Church when it merged with St. Malachi in 1916. |

The statue of St. Joseph is
original, rescued from the fire; the Blessed Virgin statue was acquired for the new church.
Coats of Arms: on the ceiling of the Sanctuary are the Coal of Arms of Pope Pius XII, who was Pope at the time of the fire and of the rebuilding, and of Bishop Edward F.
Hoban, Bishop of Cleveland, who dedicated the new church. The St.
Joseph window honors Archbishop Joseph Schrembs, Bishop of Cleveland at the time of the fire; the St. Edward window honors Bishop Edward F.
Hoban, Bishop of Cleveland when the new church was built. Bishop Hoban donated the Tennessee Crab Orchard quartzite stone on the facade of the church. It is the same stone used for St. John
Cathedral |
