ST. MALACHI PARISH COUNCIL
The minutes of the August meeting were approved as submitted.
|
| President Tom Kastelic reported: |
1. The September 27 Appreciative Inquiry meeting was well attended. 2. The council meeting will continue to be held on Wednesday evening through the remainder of the council term (ending May, 2001). 3. The council day of reflection, held Oct. 1, was extremely satisfying and council members were reminded they are called to serve and serve well. |
|
| The pastor reported: |
1. The arrival of John Retar, a seminarian who will be assigned to St. Malachi until Easter, 2001. 2. The UCS Growth Committee has asked the parish to assess its space and facility needs for the next 5-10 years. A lengthy discussion centered on the need for meeting rooms (ideally all meetings would be held outside the rectory), adequate office space for pastoral staff and office equipment, possible creation of a "special events" room for such events as showers, receptions, etc., and the need for adequate parking. When UCS considers plans for expansion the parish will play an important part in those plans. |
