CSM CONGRATULATIONS to Rosemary Gaffney Etheart, who is featured in the current Cleveland Magazine for her services as a nurse practitioner with the VNA HouseCalls program.

And to
Jennifer DeJohn and Kathy Domann, both of whom were featured in the July 27 issue of the Catholic Universe Bulletin, Jen for volunteer service at Blessing House, a crisis childcare home, and Kathy, for her recognition as Volunteer of the Year at Malachi House. Cheers, as well, for Celeste and Rich Grunwald, who celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last Sunday. And, last but not least, congrats to Joe Mohar who has so generously shared with the CSM so many of his now eight decades on this earth.

CSM THANKS to Marie James, Nancy Mura, Dale Peters and all the others on their team who made last Sunday’s “All St. Malachi” annual picnic such a pleasant experience. The weather outside was frightful but the event inside was delightful.

Message from Mike Petit, Liturgy Committee Chair:
Standing after Communion Procession. Some confusion still exists about this question. When do we sit down for the period of silence after the distribution of Communion? We suggest sitting after everyone has received and the remaining hosts have been stored in the tabernacle. The signal is when the ministers are cleaning up the vessels at the credence table near the sacristy entrance. This agrees with the principle that we stand during the Communion Procession.” - M.P.

Message from
Joe Pulizzi, Communications Committee Co-Chair:
CSM respects the fact that many of us get numerous e-mails. We plan on grouping prayer alerts when we get more than one in a day. This will help to consolidate the volume of mailings you receive per day. When a request comes in to the rectory it will be added to any previously received that day and then sent out before the close of the same day. We hope this is convenient to all.” - J.P.
