It’s nearly a week away but…
HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!…
As our beloved CSM founder, the late Gen McCloskey, used to say:
“…to all who are Irish, all who today wish they were Irish, and all who are
thankful they are not!”
CSM CONGRATULATIONS
to a couple of significant birthday celebrants this
week: Ronnie Tricsko, who for many years has overseen the rectory kitchen
pandemonium, and Kay Vine, who for so many years has so generously
involved herself in so many leadership and other St. Malachi volunteer roles.
(And in a far from so-so manner.) Happy Birthdays and thanks to them both!
Message from Mike Petit, Liturgy Committee Chair:
You Satisfy the Hungry Heart:
Engaging the Liturgical
Assembly at Holy Communion
“Fr. J. Glenn Murray, head of the diocesan Liturgy Commission, is
offering a liturgical workshop 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 20, at Holy Martyrs Parish
in Medina and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 21, at St. Ann Parish in Cleveland
Heights. It is titled ‘You Satisfy the Hungry Heart: Engaging the Liturgical
Assembly at Holy Communion.’ He promises to ‘plumb the theological and
pastoral meaning of Holy Communion as well as demonstrate ways in which all may
be engaged in this Rite through music, posture and prayer..’ This is this
dynamic speaker’s last hurrah in Cleveland and a good opportunity to
participate in a lively session. If you wish to attend you can call the diocese
at 216-696-6525, X 3630, or 800-869-6525, X3630, and leave a message if you get
voice mail indicating how many will attend. Or call me at 440-884-9309 and I
will contact the diocese. There will be a free will offering; suggested amount
is $5.” - M.P.
Message from Mary Piar:
“Special thanks to all those wonderful volunteers who make the Coffee Hour
possible. Regardless of the weather – rain or snow – the doughnuts are
always picked up. And a great job is always being done by all the volunteers who
‘work’ the hour. They all certainly deserve our thanks:” - M.P.
