NEW POSITIONING FOR EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
|
|
Message from Mike Petit, chair, CSM Liturgy Committee:
“Starting Feb. 4, our Eucharistic Ministers will be positioned in a new configuration:
There will be 11, plus the celebrant - one fewer than at present.
There will be none in the back of the church or in the choir loft.
There will be two cup ministers on each side of the church, both
front and middle.
Communicants are requested to go to the cup minister with the
shortest line.
“Rationale: these changes are an attempt to streamline the flow of the
Communion procession.
“To reiterate, there will be only two areas to receive Communion -
front and center. We ask you to be attentive to the cup ministers in each
area and help the natural flow of traffic.” - M. P.
Attention Eucharistic Ministers!
Because of unexpected circumstances, originally scheduled training
sessions involving the new positioning were necessarily cancelled. So, now
your presence is requested in the church following the 12:30 p.m. Mass
this Sunday, Jan. 28
Information: Pam Pulizzi, 216-941-5054.

Message from Helen Misener, chair, CSM Social Action Committee:
“CSM Social Action Committee members are creating a means by which
members of the Community of St. Malachi in need due to illness, death in the
family, etc., can be put in touch with members who are willing to provide a
temporary service. Our CSM has a strong tradition of caring for those
suffering from long term or critical illness. The Social Action Committee
plans to offer some services to member families with short-term needs.
Through informal networking, we will connect a volunteer with any CSM member
who needs one-time or occasional help. Needs might include a trip to a
doctor, pickup of a prescription or a few groceries, an occasional meal, or
an hour or so of household assistance. Social Action will have a table at
coffee hour this Sunday, Jan. 28, following our 11 o’clock Liturgy. Stop
by with your questions or to sign up to help.” - H.M.
