POSITION OPEN AT ST. MALACHI CENTER
The Volunteer Coordinator, a part-time position, is
responsible for maintaining a corps of volunteers for
various opportunities at St. Malachi Center. Qualified
candidates must have a commitment to the center’s
mission; a minimum of an associate degree; one year of
related experience; computer experience (Microsoft Word
and Access preferred); strong organizational,
interpersonal and communication skills; and pass a
background check.

FAITH AND SHARING RETREAT
In 1968, Jean Vanier, founder of the L’Arche
Community, was asked by the Bishop of Toronto to
give a retreat for priests. Vanier asked that it
be open to all people, rich and poor, young and
old, married and single. He believed in creating a
community in retreat by inviting people to
share from their hearts. In 1959, Fr. Jim O’Donnell
went to Canada to make the second Faith and
Sharing Retreat. He said it changed his life and
is the reason he now lives among the poor. Here
are details of the coming retreat here:

Day of Reflection and Information
Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine will host a
day of reflection and information for women interested
in vowed religious life Saturday, May 20. Participants
will gather at St. Vincent Charity Hospital information
desk at 10 a.m. Lunch, reflective prayer and discussion
will follow at Centering Space in Lakewood until 3 p.m.
