ABOUT OUR COFFEE HOUR

A Message from Mary Piar:

“We all enjoy the coffee hour after Mass. The coffee is great, the donuts are delicious, but best of all is the socializing with family and friends.

“First of all, I would like to thank all the wonderful volunteers who make our coffee hour possible by setting things up, serving the coffee, and cleaning up afterwards. Also, many of them donate some of the items used during the coffee hour. However, we still are short of volunteers and we need more people willing to make a commitment one Sunday every other month. Will you consider making that commitment? We surely could use your help.

“Secondly, I don’t think many people realize that we are not breaking even with the donations for the coffee and donuts. Some people might be under the impression that all the coffee, donuts and supplies are donated. Not true. After paying for the donuts, juice, milk, cups and other items, we are running a deficit from $15 to $20 per week. This deficit would be greater if it were not for the generosity of some of our volunteers. To help us at least break even, it would be appreciated if each person taking coffee and/or a donut would make a donation or increase the amount he/she donates.

“If you are interested in helping out your community and volunteering just once every other month on a regular basis, please call me, Mary Piar.  My home phone number is 440-845-9864. Thanks.”
