We also have this message from Rose Horning, who co-chaired the Jan. 30 “Welcome
Series.” (Please note: the “series” this time was condensed into one
event, held in St. Malachi Center.) “A big Thank You to members of the CSM
Council who participated in the Welcome Series: Bill Johansen, Rosemary Gaffney
Etheart, Ed Shemo, Joe Wegrzynowski, Cynthia Bender, Joyce Geib, Nicky Stary,
Gene Kramer and Marty Miller.
“Other members who made the afternoon so enjoyable were Cindy DiNardo,
Karen Duffy and Jim Stary. A heartfelt spiritual witness was given by Carol
Schiro. The chili makers and lunch crew did a great job of feeding the hungry:
Jackie Bluett, Cindy DiNardo, Duane Horning and JoAnn Kramer. Kay Vine with the
third grade Christian Formation Class made beautiful welcome cards for us.
Ronnie Tricsko at the Backdoor Ministry, Cathy Saegel and Jackie Bluett from St.
Malachi Center, Roger Deike from Malachi Mart, Josie Gaughan and John Gerace
from Malachi House, Dave Starre and the helpers from Monday Night Meal, and Phil
Daly from the Sunday Brunch all welcomed Duane and me as we made rounds,
gathered information and took pictures of the Malachi Ministries. Rick Bluett
was a willing and very capable co-facilitator. If I have overlooked anyone, I
apologize. It’s always a risk listing names, but I think it is also important
to recognize those who have added to the success of this program.” - Rose
Horning.
