Message From Dolores Sullin
( Dolores has been doing the Malachi alerts and Newsletter/ Communio emails
for several years now…..our sincere thanks to her for all her hard work,
timeliness and efficiency.)
The e-mail alerts for prayers, as well as the e-mail versions of Communio
and the Newsletter have all received several positive responses. Thank
you for participating in this communication tool. A few things that may
interest you:
· There are presently 262 members receiving the Malachi
Alerts.
· There are presently 196 members receiving the Communio.
· There are presently 209 members receiving the Newsletter.
These
are all group mailings; each is a separate group updated as soon as a name is
added, deleted, or change of address. The reason for three groups is simply
that not every person who wishes a Newsletter wishes to receive the Communio,
and Communio recipients do not necessarily wish to receive
Malachi Alerts, etc. No one likes to hear “I need a volunteer.” But it’s
true. If you would care to assist with this program, if you would like to even
assist with one list, it would be a major help. There will be times when I’ll
be out of town, the computer may be in for repair, or the system may be down.
Any number of reasons could occur that may prevent something important going
out. We would hope it would not be the message you need to send to the
Community and/or the Parish. I would be happy to assist in setting this up in
your computer in order to show any reformatting, etc. that may be necessary.
If you enjoy e-mail and computers and are a willing volunteer, please contact
me at 216-676-4658. DS

CSM COUNCIL MEETING HIGHLIGHTS
June 23 Meeting – St. Malachi Center
(Sincere thanks to Cynthia Bender and Gene Kramer for
getting the information to us!!!)
The 2003-04 CSM Council met in a special session on June 23, 2004 at St.
Malachi Center. The purpose of the meeting was to consider the changes to the
2003-04 budget and the proposed 2004-05 budget recommended by the Finance
Council. Following extensive discussion, the Council by unanimous vote made
the following changes to the recommendations for the 2003-04 budget and
adopted the revised budget with those changes:
1. From the surplus of revenues over expenses at the end of the fiscal
year, an additional $4,000 will be added to the amount paid to St.Malachi
Parish for general support.
2. $1,000 will be paid to each of the following Related Ministries:
Malachi House, Urban Community School, FutureChurch and the West Side
Catholic Center.
3. The amount to be paid to the Diocesan of Cleveland for the current
assessment will be based on the reduced percentage previously established
for the 2003-04 fiscal year.
With respect to the budget for the 2004-05 fiscal year, the Council, also
by unanimous vote, made the following changes to the budget as recommended by
the Finance Council:
1. The estimated revenue from regular collections was reduced from
$163,000 to $153,000.
2. The diocesan assessment will be paid at the same rate as during the
preceding year.
3. The budget for the Membership Committee was increased from $200 to
$300.
4. $4,000 will be paid to Related Ministries.
