CSM CONGRATULATIONS
to all who participated in the Jan. 4 Epiphany Celebration of Lessons and
Carols, including the children’s choir members who presented the skit:
The Bells of Glocken: Fiona Horning, Jacob Corrigan, Emily Pellegrino,
Maya Corrigan, Ellen Brinich, Katie Pellegrino, Tristan Hils, Freddy
Myers, Tommie Wingenfeld, Christopher Brinich, Peter Quigley, Elliot
Smith, Ian Etheart and Grace Corrigan. (As one observer noted: “As kids
will be, they were just perfect in front of an audience.” And during the
potluck following the program, they “graciously accepted the compliments
given.”) Among the slightly older participants were adult choir members
and music director Charlene McElwee, Stephanie Taylor-Ayers, Lou Keim,
Robert Lad, Hilary Etheart, Drew McAuliffe, Bobby Johansen, Carl Smith,
Terri Jungquist, Arlene Corrigan and Bob Corrigan. Of the program, which
included scripture readings and congregational singing, it has been said,
“A good time was had by all as they felt the spirit of the Christmas
season.”
CONGRATULATIONS
as well to Janelle Schubmehl and Jan Galvin, whose Advent three-Sunday
coffee-hour collection yielded $305 for the Backdoor Ministry. They bought
30 pairs of large and the more expensive extra-large warm gloves, and 18
pairs of heavy duty boot socks. Referring to the amusing,
attention-getting decorative hats the two wore while “hitting up”
their friends, Janelle says: “We kinda made fools of ourselves but what
we collected was not too shabby!”

A REMINDER…
As Fr. Tony informed us last weekend, there have been complaints about
cars parked on the south side of Vermont Avenue, on the south side of our
church. Out of respect for our neighbors – not to mention it’s illegal
(just like the sign says) – we’re asked to cease and desist. Please…north
side only.
