ONE WORTHY CAUSE – TWO WORTHY GROUPS – TAKE YOUR PICK!
Message from Rebecca Rocco: “A CSM women’s prayer group has been
collecting gift bags for women prisoners. We take them to the chaplain of the
prison, who distributes them to the women. We are welcoming the help of CSM
members in this project. Please place the following basic needs items in gift
bags, bring the bags to coffee hour and give them to Mary Laubenthal, Barb
Parkowski or Rebecca Rocco and we will pass them along: shampoo and conditioner,
laundry soap, toothbrush/paste, sanitary pads, deodorant, lotion (hand and
body), soap (hand and body), crew socks. For uniformity, please give regular
size items.” - R.R.
Message from Virginia Gibson, CSM member of the St. Malachi Social Action
Committee: a request for the collection for the prison ministries – “The
people in prison could use gift bags of shampoo, hand/body lotion, sanitary
pads, toothpaste, toothbrushes, crew socks, deodorant, paperback books
(inspirational is good), stationery, stamped business-size envelopes. There are
two groups that collect for the prison population and the committee will try its
best to divide what is collected. A box for donations is at the front of the
church.” - V.G.
