As a post-Communion reflection during last Sunday’s 11 o’clock Liturgy, Michael, representing his fellow junior high youth group, read his own very well written letter to the president asking for a peaceful resolution to the Iraq crisis. II – Rosemarie DeJohn, who was interviewed on Ch. 3 as she stood in downtown Cleveland, literally covered with ice during our recent blizzard; at the crack of dawn she was out there volunteering for Harvest for Hunger. III – Doug Carpenter and all the other Wednesday evening St. Malachi peace walkers; Doug was pictured in Thursday’s Plain Dealer, holding a cross and leading the group to Public Square the fateful night before. * * * * * * * * * * * Scrap Tire Sweep – abandoned tires provide a prime breeding ground for mosquitoes that spread the West Nile Virus. City and county agencies will combine during April to help eliminate this health hazard. To report abandoned tires and facilitate their collection and recycling, call 216-241-5865, by Apr. 15.
