El Salvador Lenten Outreach - please remember to use the special envelopes at the church doors

Eucharistic Ministers – CSM members interested in becoming EMs should call Fr. Tony by

Sacrament of Confirmation – Tuesday, Apr. 30, St. Wendelin Church. Adults and teens not yet

St. Malachi Book Club –Meeting, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 27, St.
Bridget Convent, 5620 Hauserman Rd., Parma Heights; hosted by Joan Zinn, OP, 440-886-2555. Casey Stangel reports that the February meeting was canceled because of bad weather and traffic tie-ups and thanks host Pat O’Malley for "arrivals that never happened." The February book, "The Red Tent" will continue as the March subject. (Casey’s directions:"I-480 to Tiedeman Road, south. Tiedeman crosses Brookpark Road and becomes Hauserman; the second building in the back is the convent, the front building is the priest’s house…he is not expecting us!") The April book: Stephen King’s "The Green Mile."

Sr. Miriam Therese will discuss her interview of Ludmila Javarova and the story of
Bishop Felix Maria Davidek and an oppressed but prophetic Czech church.
Bishop Davidek ordained married men and at least three women, including Javarova, to serve Czech Catholics
imprisoned under Communism.

III) NEIGHBORHOOD EDUCATIONAL FORUM
1-3 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 27 - St. Malachi Hall
Co-sponsored by St. Malachi Outreach and Social Planning Group (OSAP), neighboring
Shared Ministry churches and Central West Deanery Catholic parishes.
The forum’s goal is to learn the long range plans for the Near West Side in terms of affordable housing, transportation/roadways and access to shopping, recreation, parks and other public amenities.
