Some Special Messages…
…
from Bea Donofrio – "Dearest Malachi Buddies: I am letting you know I am not able to use my hands because of an advancing neurological disease.
I enjoy hearing from you even though I can’t answer. Believe me, you’re in my prayers!!!
I remember all of the love and goodness in the community. I remember Father Hritz’s sermons seemed to have been custom-made for me each week.
…from Marguerite O’Donnell – "Thanks to all the volunteers and all the persons from the Community of St. Malachi and St. Malachi Parish who gave coats through our CSM Silver Anniversary Neighborhood Outreach. It was a wonderful success – a wonderful demonstration of generosity – thanks to our contributors, to all our volunteers and to the Monday Night Meal people. We are very grateful to all. Hundreds and hundreds of coats for men, women and children –
they covered the bed of a huge pickup truck! (Thanks, too, to those who volunteered earlier for the
neighborhood health fair that was found not feasible to conduct at this time and for which the coat collection and distribution was substituted.)" - M. O’D.
…from David Flaherty, (father of one of our favorite and faithful altar servers) -
"Our ‘Special Needs’ daughter, Lisa Flaherty, is in need of transportation
to her job. She is employed at the Ridge Road Wendy’s (6970 Ridge Rd., Parma), next to the Outback Steakhouse. She works Monday through Friday and starts work at noon. She would have to be picked up at home (9414 Pinegrove Ave., Parma) by 11:15-11:30 a.m. This is a ‘paid’ position under the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities. If you have an interest in this position, please contact Wanda Sanford at the
CCBMR/DD. Voice mail number is 216-736-2925.
She will be excited to hear from you and more than happy to explain the position.’" – D.F. 440-238-0800 (work).

A Message from MALACHI MART:
"The Mart and St. Malachi Center wish to thank the donor of all the wonderful Y2K Safe-Trek dehydrated food supplies. The profits from this donation will go a long way to help support the programs at the center. If anyone out there has any supplies they got for the Y2K and no longer need them, please contact either
Bonnie Mar or Jacqui Welker at Malachi Mart, 216-621-1988. Remember, all donations are tax deductible.
"We now have gift certificates available – great for holiday giving. Entertainment books to support St. Malachi Center are available at the mart for $30.00. Christmas gifts and supplies are now being put out in the store; come on down and check it out!
"Remember to check out our web site for our weekly specials and to view the
CSM’s 25th Anniversary slide
show:

-- Jacqui Welker
(Editor’s Note: that anniversary slide show is most
impressive! It was put together by Kay Vine -- who else? – and
designed for the web site by Mike May – again, who else? They are to
be complimented, indeed. - M.E.)

Sr. Francis asked us to pass along this Advent thought by
John Greenleaf Whittier:
Somehow, not only for Christmas
But all the long year through,
The joy that you give to others
Is the joy that comes back to you.
And the more you spend in blessing
The poor and lonely and sad,
The more of your heart’s possessing
Returns to make you glad.
