SO, WHAT’S NEW? LOTS!

  • St. Malachi Looks to the Future…Rejoice and Renew!

Rejoice together as a community, and renew together in discerning a vision, and goals,
for the next five years of our CSM life.

It will be a process of listening, reflecting, visioning and planning by and for the CSM in concert
with St. Malachi Parish. Ultimate goal of this process will be to form a vision to guide us during the next five years, along with development of an action plan and support.

Individual and group processes will be implemented. Each person will be heard individually and
his/her response will be merged as input to assist the process of discerning the vision and goals.

Projected scheduled times for this to happen are:

  • 6 p.m. Sunday, June 11 (CSM Council, Parish Council, Ad Hoc Planning Committee)
  • 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13
  • 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10
  • 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14
(Options to be considered as needed)

Check your calendars! More info will be forthcoming. As a community, we all have a role and
this will give each of us that voice! - Lou Keim, Steering Committee Co-Chair

  • CSM Personal Needs Fund

This year, after much discussion, the CSM Council took an important step and created a separate Personal Needs Fund to assist with the personal, financial needs of individuals who are members or who are affiliated with the CSM. It was decided to have the fund administered by the pastor.
Council members believe that in addition to providing for outreach ministries, we need to act as a sign of hope and encouragement for those within the CSM as well. Anyone wishing to contribute to the fund – personal donations our only source of revenue – or needing assistance, should contact any CSM Council member.

This is an important highlight in our Annual Report. Additional copies of the current report are available at the coffee hour. Please see me. Note: Treasurer JoAnn Kramer wishes to remind you that checks representing special gifts to the CSM, on any occasion, should please have the memo line indicate "Special Gift to CSM." – Rebecca Rocco, CSM Council President

IT’S APPRECIATION TIME

(Ed. Note: remember the old saying, "I don’t care what you say about me, as long as you spell my name right?" Well, here goes…)

We’ll start off with a gracious note from the ever-gracious Cindy DiNardo:

A Huge Thank You! A million thanks to all whose hard work, creativity and leadership made our special 25th Anniversary day such a success. Everything went so beautifully, and everyone had a wonderful time. Fr. Paul’s instructive homily, the church decorations, the delicious brunch catered by Gary Lucarelli, the festive dinner and hilarious entertainment all made for an unforgettable time. Most of all, being together as a family, celebrating our history and our relationships, and looking forward to wherever the Spirit may lead us in the future – this was truly Community! - Love, CD

And Further from Kay Vine:

"To the following CSM and St. Malachi Parish members, thanks for all the help in celebrating the seasons of Lent and Easter – cleaning, painting, arranging, scrubbing, sewing, hanging, ironing, encouraging, laundering, printing, designing, folding, collating…" KV, Coordinator
