GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD

October 2005

This monthly "prayer page" is provided by the CSM Spiritual Development Committee.
We hope that these short quotes will help you to stop at some point within your day, to receive your "daily bread" from our God.

If you can, begin by setting aside just one minute of your time.
Find a quiet place.
Close your eyes.
Follow your breath for 3 or 4 inhalation/exhalation cycles. Or just remain quiet.
Say to your God, "I am here".
Open yourself to receive God's love and presence.
When ready, open your eyes.
Read the daily quote below.

Perhaps, carry this page with you and read the daily quote several times throughout the day. Or, write it on a smaller paper or 3 x 5 card and put it in your pocket. If one of the readings particularly speaks to you, stay with it for several days, until you feel it is time to move on. Use the quotes in the way that best feeds your soul.
