Our annual Tenebrae Service of Shadow and Light is this Monday, March 26, 2018 at 7:00 PM at St. Boniface Church, 3545 W. 54 St. (near Dennison). Tenebrae is a Holy Week devotion which dates back to the 7th or 8th century and consists of Scripture, hymns and a successive extinguishing of candles/lights as the service progresses. This beautiful prayer is a long standing collaboration of our Central West District parishes

Good Friday is a day of abstinence from meat for all Catholics who are over 14 years of age and of fasting for Catholics from their 18th through 59th birthday. People with fragile health, special medical conditions or other serious reasons are not required to fast.
Chrism Mass, 03/27/2018
On Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 7:00 PM is the celebration of the Chrism Mass at St. John’s Cathedral. Bishop Perez will consecrate all the holy oils which will be used in our diocese for the coming year. Please be advised: in an effort to be fair and non-partisan, parishioners will not be able to reserve seating for other parishioners. General seating for the Chrism Mass will be first come, first served.
Sr. Ignatia Memorial Mass, 04/07/2018

St. Malachi Parish Lenten Project, 2018
Christians at Risk: Helping Mid-East Christians Rebuild Homes and Communities. St. Malachi Parish is partnering with the Knights of Columbus to enable Christian Refugees in Syria and Iraq to return to and rebuild their homes & communities that were destroyed by the Islamic State.
It costs about $2,000 to resettle one family. Offering envelopes are available at the main doors of church and the St. Malachi shrine for you to contribute to the St. Malachi Parish Lenten Project. Your donation will help the Mid-East Christians return home. Please make your check payable to St. Malachi Parish and write Lenten Project on the memo line. Return offerings on Holy Thursday, March 29 ,2018 or Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018.

Communal Penance Service, 03/19/2018
On Monday, March 19, 2018 is a Communal Penance Service at 7:00 PM at St. Patrick (Bridge) for our partner parishes of St. Wendelin, St. Patrick & St. Malachi with priests from each parish. In the words of Pope Francis, “God never tires of forgiving us.” If you missed the diocesan evening of Confessions, this is an excellent opportunity to be reconciled as we prepare for Easter.
