Our Resurrection (Funeral) Choir always welcomes new members. We resume our regular rehearsal schedule on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 10:30AM in the church choir loft. The only requirements for this life-giving ministry are a love for singing and the freedom to attend morning funerals.

On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, Maria Smith and Charles Hurst are our Everyday Prophets. Everyday Prophets is a lunchtime program to celebrate the work and dedication of those in our community who serve others. We start at 12:30 PM (after noon mass) in the Hall.
Charles Hurst is the pastor of North Presbyterian Church, 4515 Superior Avenue. Many of the people who attend North either are currently experiencing homelessness or have confronted homelessness, incarceration or mental illness in the recent past. Others are in recovery from alcohol and drug abuse. Charlie’s ministry includes a profound understanding of how militarism, racism and materialism manifest in the lives of the people at North.
Maria and Charlie have been doing war tax resistance since 1985.
Speakers also share stories of their own life’s journey. Bring a lunch (beverage and dessert are provided) and enjoy the stories, fellowship, and inspiration shared.
Sunday Morning at St. Malachi, 1/11/2015: Three of our groups will meet separately for discussion – Book Discussion Group, the 20s and 30s and Senior Malachites. Come to the Church Hall from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM; locations for each group will be posted. Anyone not interested in one of these groups is welcome to share coffee & donuts.
“SUNDAY MORNING AT ST. MALACHI”
Experience a Parish Event/Activity
each Sunday from 10:15- 11:15am
Everyone is invited to join “Sunday Morning at St. Malachi.” This initiative started at the beginning of 2014 and offers parishioners and visitors the opportunity to gather and participate in a group activity/event each Sunday from 10:15-11:20 (between the 2 Sunday Masses). It’s a wonderful way to meet with friends old and new, get involved in the goings on of the parish, and enrich your personal faith journey. Meetings are in the Church Hall in the school building unless otherwise noted.
Please see Fr. Tony’s Blog for his reflection on Rediscovering Sunday Morning.
We thank Patrick Cleary-Burns and Dave Kennard for coordinating this initiative during 2014. We are currently in need leadership for 2015! If you are able to help, please contact someone from Parish Council.
