OPENING HYMN: BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS

When you’re weary feelin’ small
When tears are in your eyes — I’ll dry them a11
I’m on your side Oh —
When times get rough — and friends just can’t be found
Like a bridge over troubled water- I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water - I will lay me down!

When you’re down and out — when you’re on the street
When evening falls so hard — I will comfort you
I’ll take your part — Oh —
When darkness comes - and pain is all around —
Like a bridge over troubled water - I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down!

A time when dreams so long denied - can flourish -
as we unveil the love we now must hide.
A time for us at last to see - life worthwhile - for you - and me

And with our love - through tears and thorns - we will endure
As we pass surely through ev'ry storm.
A time for us someday there'll be - a new world -
A world of shining HOPE for you and me!

GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST, AND peace to his people on earth. Lord God, heavenly
King, almighty God and Father, we worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you
for your glory. Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of
God, you take away the sin of the world: have mercy on us; you are seated at
The right hand of the Father, receive our prayer. For you alone are the Holy One,
You alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy
Spirit, in the glory of God the Father, Amen.

GOSPEL RESPONSE: We will hear Your Word, one in love;
we will live in Your word, one in love;
we will spread Your word, one in love!

WE BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all
that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of
God, eternally begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father, Through him
all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven;
by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the Virgin Mary and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died and was
Buried. On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; he
Ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come
Again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from
The Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic
Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the
resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come, Amen.

PETITION RESPONSE: Open our hearts, O' Lord.

OFFERTORY: SIGN OF TOTAL GIVING

Refrain: Sign of total giving - pledge of life to men
Food for brothers sent to serve — time and time again.
1. Bearing others’ burdens - caring day by day
Keep before us evermore - Your total giving way
2. When we come uncertain give us strength anew
To face each day and trace the way - in leading men to you
3. Peace will be our standard - joy our constant song
Help us now to show men how — to live and sing along

COMMUNION: MALEITA’S SONG (I'm In Love With My God)

Refrain: And I’m in love with my God - my God’s in love with me
And the more I love You the more I know — I’m in love with my God
1. Have you ever seen a rose? My God has and He loves them
Loves them so much, He kissed them each one — and gave them His color
Blooms to open wide — leaves for to dress — thorns for to hurt
To help us to know how He loves - My God!
2. Have you ever seen a sheep? My God has and He loves them
Loves them so much, He took up a staff and led them to rest
and cuddled them close
To help us to know how He loves — My God!
3. Have you ever seen a baby? My God has and He loves them
Loves them so much He slept in a womb — was born as a man —
and cried for His milk learned how to walk - and stumbled and fell
To help us to be growing children — My God!
4. Have you ever seen a sinner? My God has and He loves them
Loves them so much He walked on the earth — and cried out His heart
nailed up His hands — and poured out His blood
To help them believe He loves them - My God!
5. Have you ever seen a beloved of God? My God has and He loves them
Loves them so much He sent one to me - to show me His heart —
to cry me His tears — to give me His hand —
To hold me so tight in my God - My God!

OF MY HANDS

Of my hands * I give to You - 0’ Lord - Of my hands I give to You
I give to You as You gave to me - Of my hands I give to You!
* For hands substitute: "heart" "life" "self"

CLOSING: A TIME FOR US

A time for us some day there’ll be - when chains are torn by courage born
of a love that’s free
