I, too, rejoice in much of what R. Brett says in her daily and/or weekly columns of the Plain Dealer. Her talk show, also, is decent. I think that, with hope and togetherness, we can all band together as one, even in the seemingly darkest of times.

Thanks for reminding us about what is truly important. It’s so easy to get caught up in things that are quite superficial.

I wish the Plain Dealer would publish your article to reach people beyond those who visit this website. I guess sensationalism sells newspapers, but reflections about the true “heroes” of our past and present would put things in perspective for many people, Catholic or not.

Thanks for putting up this article. I’m unquestionably frustrated with struggling to search out relevant and rational commentary on this matter. Everybody now goes to the very far extremes to either drive home their viewpoint that either: everyone else in the planet is wrong, or two that everyone but them does not really understand the situation. Many thanks for your concise, pertinent insight.
