Regarding the Parish Council Guidelines, a question was posed at the Sunday, September 25, 2016 informational meeting:
Q.What is “fully initiated” Catholic, and why is it in the proposed Guidelines for being eligible to serve on Parish Council?
St. Malachi, St. Patrick and St. Paul’s Community Church will host a “Feast of St. Francis” program on October 4, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Urban Community School, 4909 Lorain Ave.. The program was created
by Catholic Climate Covenant, a national organization committed to educating and expanding the Church’s teaching on care for creation & care for the poor.
This year’s program theme is Dial Down the Heat: Cultivate the Common Good for our Common Home, and is aimed at answering Pope Francis’ call for engaging in civil and constructive dialogue on climate protection. You are invited to attend, to engage in discussion and activities. Parking available on W. 50 St. or behind new school area.
Join us on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 for Praying with Teresa of Avila. We offer a time of prayer and reflection based on the book, Praying with Teresa of Avila by Rosemary Broughton.
If you have been looking for help to take your prayer home please join us. We start at 7:00pm in church. You do not need to be present for every session to benefit. We will provide materials. “For prayer is nothing else than being on terms of friendship with God.” (St. Teresa of Ávila)
St. Malachi, St. Patrick and St. Wendelin’s men are invited to our Fall Poetry Gathering on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 7:30-10 pm. Join us at the John Knox Presbyterian Church 25200 Lorain Road, North Olmsted.
Why: They have a new outside fire pit Topic: Share a poem, story or just sit back and enjoy the evening with good men. Bring folding chair, snack to share, and a friend or two. Drinks are provided.
