CATHOLIC COMMUNICATIONS COLLECTION NEXTWEEKEND
Next week our parish will take up the Collection for the Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC). This Collection communicates the Good News through Catholic social media activities and enriches our faith through podcasts, television, radio, and print media. Half of all proceeds remain in our diocese, so please be generous in this Collection. CCC is how the Good News gets around to you.
WEDNESDAY: BRIDGES TO CONTEMPLATION
Join us this Wednesday at 7pm for Bridges to Contemplation. We use Thomas Merton’s writings as a starting point for silence, contemplation, and discussion.
PRAYING WITH ST. IGNATIUS RETREAT
If you are interested in taking some spiritual retreat time for yourself without having to drop everything or leave town, here is your chance! Praying with St. Ignatius is an eight-week, parish retreat based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. Please attend an informational meeting next Sunday, Sept. 16, 2-3pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 6928 Detroit Rd. During this retreat, you will be taught different methods of prayer, guided in a daily Scripture-based prayer practice, and participate in small faith sharing groups. The cost is $65.The first meeting will take place on Sunday Sept.30, 2-4pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Plan to join the Social Action Commission of St. Malachi Parish in supporting the St. Patrick’s-Bridge Conference in the first annual St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the Poor Walk on, September 29, at Brookside Reservation, Cleveland Metroparks, John Nagy Blvd. (near the Zoo). We will walk about a mile on paved trails and flat terrain. We intend to begin around 10:30am. There is plenty of parking available! Busy that day or can’t walk? Consider making a pledge for someone who is walking! Visit www. svdpfriendsofthepoorwalk.org for more information, to register as a walker, or to make a pledge to support a walker. This benefit event directs funds to the specific parish St. Vincent de Paul Society Conferences. We will be walking for our Cluster partner, St. Patrick, Bridge! Serving the poor is the heart of St. Malachi’s. Come together as a parish to express our commitment to helping our neighbors in need.

All children ages 4 thru grade 12 are invited to join St. Malachi PSR, which occurs on Sunday mornings from 9:30 -10:45 AM upstairs in the school building. Forms available at church doors, or stop at the rectory, or call (216) 861-5343 x17. As another PSR year begins, please keep all of our families and catechists in your prayers. ADULT FAITH SHARING AROUND SUNDAY’S GOSPELAll adults are welcome to gather on Sunday mornings upstairs in the school from 9:30-10:45 to read, pray, reflect and share around the Gospel of the day. Resources are available to help unpack the meaning of and application to our lives. Those who attended last year have shared the value of developing community while viewing our lives through the lens of healing and transforming love of Jesus.
